BEDFORDSHIRE LADIES COUNTY GOLF ASSOCIATION

Our Aims are to-

1. Uphold the Rules of the English Ladies' Golf Association and to maintain, administer and enforce the CONGU system of handicapping
2. Further the interest of both Junior and Ladies golf in Bedfordshire

3. Give support and advice on the running of ladies' sections in Bedfordshire.
4. Organize the County Matches and such other activities for members as approved by the Committee.

B.L.C.G.A.is  in the EAST REGION OF E.W.G.A. - the other counties we play in sub divisional finals are Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire, Norfolk,  Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire.

 

MANAGEMENT OF THE ASSOCIATION SHALL BE VESTED IN THE COMMITTEE.

AFFILIATED CLUBS;- Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands, Aylesbury Vale, Beadlow Manor, Bedford & County, Bedfordshire, Chalgrave Manor, Colmworth and North Beds, Colworth, Dunstable Downs, Griffin, John O' Gaunt, Leighton Buzzard, Millbrook, Mount Pleasant, Mowsbury, Pavenham Park, South Beds, Stockwood Park, The Bedford,Tilsworth, Wyboston Lakes.

 

MEMBERSHIP SECTIONS

B.L.C.G.A has over 1500 members.

Membership is under the County Golf Regulations as laid down by E.W.G.A. and application must come through the authorised club official.

JUNIOR SECTION - Under 18 on 1st January. Juniors will receive free membership of the Association until the January following their 18th birthday.

SENIOR SECTION -Over 55 on 1st January.

PAST CAPTAINS - A Past Captain of an affiliated Bedfordshire Club.

Each section has competitions throughout the year at different venues - SEE FIXTURE LIST Web Page and MEMBERSHIP BOOKLET.

Each year a MEMBERSHIP BOOKLET is issued via your Club County Representative and this now contains ENTRY FORMS FOR COMPETITIONS. Entry Forms will list any Handicap restrictions for the competitions.

In addition, each year your Club County Representative will give you the opportunity to purchase a COURSE CARD where entitled members can play 1 round of golf at an agreed reduced green fee at participating clubs. (subject to  various handicap and participating club restrictions)
