SUCCESS
FOR HOLLY AND LAURA:
Holly finished 2nd in the qualifying for the English Girls Championship,
level with defending champion Melissa Reid, and Laura finished joint 15th in a
very strong field in the British Ladies Open Amateur Strokeplay. Keep it up

NEW JUNIOR ORGANISER:
In 2005, Paula Collin
of John O'Gaunt took on the role of County Junior Organiser. Paula's role is to
look after and encourage the development of all girls aged under 21 in the
county of Bedfordshire, whether you are a complete beginner or a budding star.
Paula arranges County Competitions, group coaching sessions and activities and
also looks after the county team. There are events for girls of all ages and
abilities. Please don't be afraid to enter - these are great fun and you get to
meet lots of other girl golfers from other clubs in the County.

FALDO SERIES:
Nick Faldo established the Faldo Series in 1996 to identify and nurture the
next generation of champions. HRH The Duke of York lends his support as
President.
Leading young golfers from Europe, both male and female, have the opportunity to
experience top-level competition at a varied selection of some of the world's
finest championship venues.
JUNIOR GOLFMARK AWARDS:
The Junior GolfMark Award is a national accreditation scheme for golf clubs
in the area of Junior Golf awarded by EGU/ELGA. In Bedfordshire, four of our
clubs have been awarded the Junior GolfMark (Bedford & County, John O'Gaunt,
South Beds and Tilsworth) after assessment in three key areas:
1. Playing and Coaching.
2. Club Environment
3. Duty of Care and Child Protection.
