Junior Fun Competition Results 2006

South Beds Golf Club, 9th July

19 girls took part in the above event over 6 holes on the Warden Hill course ages ranged from 16 to 7.  This event is for girls who do not have handicaps, handicaps over 36 or who are new to golf. The weather was warm and sunny. Everyone played a stroke play competition. They were allowed a maximum of 10 strokes per hole. There was also a putting competition, a quiz and a bunker competition.  The event was a great success.  Everyone enjoyed themselves with some wonderful golf shots being seen.  Hopefully the girls will continue with their golf and more girls gain handicaps.

The winner of the six-hole event was Emily Midgley JOG (Emily won this event in 2005). Runner up was Sophie Hillier also JOG.

Claire Hillier JOG won the bunker competition.

The putting comp was won by Caroline Cormack B&C

Four girls tied for the quiz Emily Broughton Mows, Caroline Cormack & Nicola Westgate B&C and Elena Tizzard AG/WS.

All girls taking part received a goody bag.  A tea and prize giving followed the competition.  Many thanks to all the ladies who helped make this event run smoothly.  Without their support it would not be possible to hold an event such as this.
